Waiting…

This is not for the faint-hearted.
Modern lifestyles tend to keep us all busy. As adults we are required to work, socialise, maintain our health, mind families while keeping an eye on our work/life balance.
This last is a new concept with a flawed premise. It would suggest ‘work’ suspends life. This is a ridiculous claim, for no other reason than work takes up a large part of your life, even more than sleep.

Nothing in that formula really allows for you, the person, to discover who you really are.
What inspires you, makes you feel fulfilled, helps you grow into the being that exemplifies your image of perfection. Most people would say it’s impossible to find time for that.

Yet all it takes is making space in your life.
Empty space.
Not a holiday. A daily ‘FREE TIME’. To do nothing.

To begin with you have to discipline yourself. Switching off your phone would be the first step. Isolating yourself from distractions. You may find this hard to do because it is so alien to your normal life. Try talking to yourself if you feel agitated. Perhaps begin with as little as 15 minutes doing nothing.
Above all, don’t fall asleep. If you do, that time doesn’t count as being alone doing nothing. You need to be awake. Let your mind wander but don’t focus on anything your mind throws up. This is when you wait. Some call this meditation.

Your true self/guardian angel/universe is constantly trying to guide you. You need to be quiet in body and mind. Then the magic happens.
At first you may hear nothing. You may get up thinking it was a waste of time. But if you persist in this practice, gradually extending to a minimum of one hour daily, you will start ‘seeing’ what your universe presents to you.
This is when the magic begins.

You may ‘see’ yourself doing something, being somewhere, engaging with people or animals you have never seen before. Try not to ask any questions at this point. Don’t rationalise. Tell yourself it is a vivid dream, for now.
If possible, after your session write down everything you recall. Date it and set it aside. Repeat this process until you discover a completely new way of seeing the world around you. This new you may have some great talent you never thought possible or it may be a new idea or invention. You may have crossed some emotional barrier that now allows you to be free of pain.

This method also works for those of you who have talents, but have hit a block. Do not force anything. Visualising will come when you have quieted your mind. Keeping a journal is helpful and reading it periodically will bring insights as to a given trend or direction. You will become the observer of your persona. Then you will choose what your universe guides you to do.

You are then on the path to your perfection.
